The power of attention and detail

  • Friday, 30 May 2025, from 6:00 to 8:45 PM
  • Location: Espai Buit
Summary
"This interactive talk workshop invites us to explore the importance of integrating a transpersonal perspective into our daily lives, a way of seeing the world that transforms how we live and respond to life’s events. One of the essential tools in this process is training our attention, which is key to become aware of information stored in our unconscious mind, from where our emotional reactions are driven, in many cases in an automatic and/or uncontrolled way. Understanding the unconscious roots of our emotions is essential for our wellbeing, just as it is recognising the role of symbolic and archetypal language that, ultimately, can help us process and place that inner information in ways that support, rather than sabotage us. Often a small detail can spark an unexpected emotional chain reaction. When once we manage to somehow structure this unconscious information, our emotional responses, which are a vital source of energy, become appropriate and effective. To bring this learning into practice, we will work with archetypes that represent the two most important phases preceding adult life. The inner child, a phase in which the unconscious gathers the basic data we receive from the great school of life, the family, which will later govern the unconscious emotional life of the person. Then, the adolescent, an archetype which symbolises the important stage of leaving the family nest behind and stepping into the world, so important in every stage of adult change. We will finish with a Q&A session, where we will share lived experiences and respond to any questions or concerns that may be shared."
